International Language Conference

Yesterday there was already the third international language conference held in the Estonian Academy of Security Sciences offering a lot of thought provoking ideas and different innovative approaches to language learning and teaching. The conference brought together language researchers and teachers both from Estonia and abroad. Research results and experiences gained from teaching languages and practicing CLIL were shared. One of the topics also involved discussion about how the relationships between students and lecturers influence the study process and results.

The Estonian Academy of Security Sciences, together with experts from the Police and Border Guard Board and the Rescue Board, is going to develop the institutions of internal security in Afghanistan

The aim of the project funded by the Estonian Ministry of Foreign Affairs is to increase the professionalism and the skills of staff management among the workers of the institutions of internal security in Afghanistan. Cooperation between the Estonian Academy of Security Sciences, the Police and Border Guard Board and the Rescue Board is meant for training instructors in Afghanistan, who would later spread their knowledge gained among other people active in the field of internal security in the country. In addition to training, the Republic of Estonia helps to equip the training environment in Afghanistan in which specialists could later be trained.
