Substantive preparations for the creation of EOD specialists’ training programme in Ukraine have started

This week Ukrainian delegation visits Estonia in order to start substantive preparations for the project  that is carried out by the experts of the Academy and the Estonian Rescue Board, and funded by the Estonian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. As a result of the project, engineering and EOD works’ department will start operating at Lviv State University of Life Safety. The cooperation project involves creating a humanitarian demining related training system and different training sessions.

Estonian Academy of Security Sciences contributes to the establishing a training system for explosive ordnance disposal specialists in Ukraine

On 12 September the delegation of the Estonian Academy of Security Sciences, led by the Rector Katri Raik and the director of the Rescue College, Ain Karafin, went to Ukraine to sign a cooperation contract with the Lviv State University of Life Safety. In addition to that, a development cooperation project, which aim is to establish a humanitarian explosive ordnance disposal training system in Ukraine, will also start. The project is carried out by the experts of the Academy and the Estonian Rescue Board, and funded by the Estonian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
