About EILC language courses
What is EILC?
Erasmus Intensive Language Courses (EILC) is an initiative supported by the European Commission to enable Erasmus students adapt better both socially and academically in a host country. EILC courses are organized in the following countries: Belgium (Flemish Community), Bulgaria, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Sweden or Turkey.
Who can apply?
The EILCs are open to students who have been selected for an Erasmus study/placement period in the European Lifelong Learning/Erasmus programme. Comenius Assistants can also participate, provided that there are places available on a course.
What do you need to know?
Participating students do not have to pay for tuition, books or any other study materials. Students are expected to cover housing and other living costs during the period of the course, additional costs may occur for housing, food and activities during the week-end trips. More detailed information is given in the course description.
How to apply?
EILC applications are to be submitted electronically to the students’ home institution, which will be responsible for forwarding the application to the EILC organizing institution. Comenius Assistants apply directly to the EILC organizing institution.
