Sisekaitseakadeemia x VonBomb

Internal security does not live only in uniforms, textbooks or official documents. It is part of our everyday lives – and now, it is part of street art too.

Together with artist VonBomb, we have brought the themes of the Estonian Academy of Security Sciences onto the streets and now you can discover them for yourself.

„PIN! PIN!“
A modern scammer no longer goes “bang bang” – they ask for your PIN codes and passwords.

Today’s criminals may no longer be armed with pistols. Instead, they may be armed with phones – and the harm they cause can be just as serious, if not greater, than that caused by the armed bandits of the past.

If someone is rushing you, frightening you or asking for your personal details, stop.

Never share your PIN codes. Never give out your passwords.

Security in the Language of Street Art

You are standing in front of a work created in collaboration between the Estonian Academy of Security Sciences and VonBomb. This is not a conventional advertisement or just another mural – it is an invitation to notice, reflect and discover how security truly begins in everyday life.

VonBomb has created several works based on the themes of the Estonian Academy of Security Sciences, opening up the world of internal security through humour, imagery and a playful twist. Each artwork touches on a field that is taught, researched or developed at the Academy.

Look at the artwork. Think along. Discover the story behind it.

Why Street Art?

Because some messages work best when they appear unexpectedly.

Street art catches the eye, raises questions and allows each viewer to find their own meaning. That is exactly why it works so well for opening up the topic of internal security. These are issues that affect us all, yet they are often discussed in ways that feel overly formal or complex.

For the Estonian Academy of Security Sciences, this project is an opportunity to show that security can also be communicated creatively, boldly and in a human way. Our aim is not to provide all the answers, but to invite people to notice: what is in the image, what lies behind it and how it connects to Estonia’s security.

Find the Next Artwork!

The first artwork begins its journey in Tapa, but it will not be the last. More pieces will appear in public spaces across Estonia.

We are not revealing all the locations at once – mystery and playfulness are part of the project. Follow the Estonian Academy of Security Sciences on social media, collect the clues and see whether you can find the next artwork before others do.

If you spot one of the artworks, take a photo, share it and tag us. We would love to know what you see in it.

Kunstnik VonBomb

Artist VonBomb

Von Bomb is an Estonian artist best known for his large-scale murals and stencil-based street art.

VonBomb has been active as an artist for more than 15 years. He is also the author of the largest mural in the Baltic States: “Ülemiste Girl” in Ülemiste City, Tallinn. The mural covers 1,780 square metres and was completed in 2015.

Why Does This Matter to You?

Security does not begin only when someone calls the emergency number or puts on a uniform. It starts much earlier – with the ability to recognise a scam, prepare for a crisis, understand a person’s path back into society, prevent the movement of dangerous goods, or make decisions based on knowledge rather than gut feeling.

These are exactly the themes that are taught, researched and developed at the Estonian Academy of Security Sciences.
