Scientific journal „Proceedings“ is waiting for manuscripts

The editorial board of the English-language annual scientific journal “Proceedings” (with ETIS classification 1.2.), which is published once a year, is once again waiting for the manuscripts of articles for the new issue!

The 21st issue will be published at the end of 2022, this time focusing on the "new" world order and the changed security architecture.

The new issue of the journal is entitled "Changing global security architecture".

Anniversary number of “Proceedings Estonian Academy of Security Sciences”

Current 20th issue of the scientific journal “Proceedings Estonian Academy of Security Sciences”, entitled „Security challenges during COVID-19: lessons learned and perspectives”, has been published. The new issue of the magazine focuses on research of defense issues, including various types of security threats, such as private mercenary companies in Russia (such as the Wagner Group) that have intervened in the Syrian civil war and are operating elsewhere.

Policy paper „Further possibilities of the European Union Agency eu-LISA in Estonia“

In 2011, with the adoption of the Basic Regulation, an agency under the European Union  (EU) was set up: European Agency for the Operational Management of Large-Scale IT Systems in the Area of Freedom, Security and Justice (eu-LISA). The agency became operational in December 2012 and was headquartered in Tallinn, with Strasbourg as its main location and Sank Johann im Pongau as the location of its back-up systems. eu-LISA’s main task was the management of large-scale internal security IT systems important for the European Union.

Nineteenth issue of the Proceedings of the Estonian Academy of Security Sciences

It is our pleasure to introduce the nineteenth issue of the Proceedings of the Estonian Academy of Security Sciences. The Proceedings publish studies of contemporary security issues with an emphasis on internal security and law enforcement. In our current issue, entitled ‘Old and New Threats – challenges for internal security’, eight articles with authors from Estonia, Poland, Romania, and the Czech Republic focus on different types of security threats and challenges in addition to other relevant topics related to security issues and security environment.

The Estonian Academy of Security Sciences international hybrid conference “SAFELY IN A CRISIS”

The Estonian Academy of Security Sciences will hold an international hybrid conference “SAFELY IN A CRISIS” on 3-4 December

The conference will take place online and at the conference centre of the Estonian Academy of Security Sciences at 61 Kase Street in Tallinn.

The conference will be held in Estonian and in English, simultaneous interpretation available online. The conference is free.
